We are very pleased that Anchor Relocation, Doris Hautle, was invited to take part in an SRF Rundschau segment on April 23, 2025, addressing the housing shortage in Zurich.

The report focuses in particular on evictions of entire housing developments, which often occur in larger cities to renovate old estates, construct new buildings, or increase housing density. It vividly illustrates the impact such measures have on affected residents.

At the same time, the segment highlights that even high-earning newcomers are increasingly struggling to find suitable housing in Zurich. As part of the segment, Doris Hautle views an apartment on behalf of a client—despite a budget of up to CHF 10,000, the search proves to be challenging.

Anchor Relocation supports clients across all price segments, but even in the upper range, the market is tight—not only in the lower and middle segments. Many prospective tenants are willing to pay higher rents, but they also expect quality and location to match.

Lengthy approval processes and frequent objections further slow down new construction activity—putting additional pressure on an already strained housing market and making the search for a home even more difficult.
